For those who would like to understand the intent and care behind how this calendar is offered:

How this calendar is shared

The Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar is a living, place based calendar grounded in Boonwurrung seasonal knowledge and ways of being. It invites people and organisations to notice seasonal rhythm, capacity, and relationship with Country, rather than moving by fixed timelines or productivity cycles.

This offering is shared through a small number of access pathways. Each pathway reflects a different way of holding responsibility, use, and relationship with the calendar.

This calendar is for you if

  • You want a grounded, culturally safe way to engage with Country
  • You work in education, wellbeing, community, or leadership
  • You want rhythm and relationship, not just dates

This calendar may not be for you if

  • You are looking for a generic planner or productivity tool
  • You are seeking a ready-made curriculum or program

The sections below provide additional detail for those choosing organisational or partnership pathways.

Used Across Education and Community Settings

The Boonwurrung Relational Seasonal Calendar is currently being explored through embedded partnerships across education and institutional settings, including:

  • ECMS – organisation-wide early learning integration
  • St Leonard’s College – secondary school partnership
  • Monash University – tertiary and institutional engagement

“This calendar is a deeply thoughtful and connected way to move through the year with Country, as it invites you to ‘come as you are’.”

Emma Forsyth, Head of Pedagogy, ECMS
